Layla was wide awake for us during this session, gorgeous blue eyes following her mom around the room as we set up a few cute baskets to place Layla in. Her father is a fellow Photog and it's always nice to talk camera's and techniques over the evening hours!

I have been chasing this elusive hawk for the better course of a month, stalking him in my car as I drive out to the horses, he just won't let me take his picture! Oh well, this is the closest I've gotten, one day he'll understand, lol.

Hawaii!

Maui was beautiful but the Big Island definitely topped it! Swam with spinner dolphins, surfed Big Island waves, night snorkeled with manta rays, kayaked to Captain Cooks grave, chased Gold Dust Gecko's and giant black bees and had a turtle beach itself beside me and fall asleep.

Spectacular scenery, friendly locals and fun adventures were all part of this trip. Met a nice guy who took a phenomenal photo of a 'face' in the lava and bought a copy to take home with us, plus I couldn't help but notice the two dogs on the datsun truck, perfect photo opt, lol. Can't wait to go back!

I love that Carolyn has a few 'spare' wedding dresses just to do photoshoots in! Always a good time shooting her as she is quite random at times and does things in high heels I wouldn't dare try in this lifetime!

Well today was a spectacular day! I had the chance to work with a good friend of mine and her beautiful QH mare, Girl! We decided to try some pictures in Mission Creek as the Fall colors were phenomenal, Kyla did not disappoint when she showed up in a shimmering hunter green dress that just lit up the fall scenes!

Hi Everyone!

Thank you for entering the contest! I have had an astounding # of emails, hcbc pm's, and facebook messages with entries of their stallions, because of the amount of entries I have now divided stallions into categories (dressage, jumpers, cutting, reining, confo shots, etc) and will be announcing the winners of each category for the Okanagan as well as a few from the Vancouver area.

I will be coordinating with the Okanagan winners as well as Vancouver area to arrange the photoshoot after the announcement. Vancouver area won't be as soon as the Okanagan seeing as this was more of a Okanagan area contest with the possibility of trips to the Vancouver area but I will be in touch with those winners from Van as to when I am in the area.

What an amazing turnout, with 60 more applicants than last year, the Kelowna Riding Club showgrounds were buzzing with talented riders and horses all around! I was at work for most of the weekend (Kelowna Infiniti/Nissan sales rep by day, lol) but ws able to make some time on Sunday to take some photos. Ended up meeting a very talented photographer by the name of Steve from Totem Photographics, had a great conversation and look forward to new opportunities down the road!

Also met Nancy from Saddle up Magazine finally in person, we have known eachother solely through emails for the past year, nice to put a face to a the name! We will be picking out one of my photos to publish in the upcoming issue.

Hey everyone!

I am looking to do a photo session with a few local Okanagan Stallions with the possibility of also doing a few in the Vancouver area! I am looking for dynamic stallions that have that WOW factor and presence which will benefit from a photo shoot for both their portfolio as well as mine.

This is a free session so long as I can use the photos for my portfolio, the lucky winners will get the use of my edited photos for their website or do with what they please. Dealership Photoshoot!

Well, everyone is blogging so I guess I should get myself in gear and blog along with the best of 'em.

Thanks to Daniela from Daniela Sitar Photography for lending me lighting equipment and her lens, the Dealership Fashion/Glamour Photoshoot and the Underground Photoshoot was a blast and the photos turned out amazing! All the models sure brought themselves to the table with an outstanding erray of wardrobe and talent!
